Truax Promoted to Executive Team at Pac/West Communications
Veteran Campaign Manager Serves Diverse Clientele Across U.S.
DENVER, Colo. – Pac/West Communications announced Oct. 1, 2019 the promotion of multidisciplined strategist, influential campaign manager and Denver team leader Mark Truax to the position of Executive Vice President.
Truax joined Pac/West in 2009 and has managed the firm’s Denver office for the past six years. He specializes in campaign management and has worked with clients in the diverse fields of oil and natural gas, agriculture, and the pro-business issues spanning across the country.
“Mark has been a cornerstone of this company and played a major role in its success,” said Pac/West President Paul Phillips. “He has proven himself to his clients and this company time and again and has a bold vision for what Pac/West can and should be.”
Truax has personally managed the Denver office’s largest client, Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development, since 2013 and has been a creative and effective strategist for issues from Alaska to Texas to Washington, DC and all places in between, dealing with public lands, wildlife and energy, among other issues. He credits the team’s ability to handle a diverse portfolio to their relational approach to clients.
“We put in a lot of time cultivating relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders so they know they can trust we’re going to deliver,” Truax said. “That relationship allows us to think ahead, give some forethought and anticipate their needs.”
In Truax’s new role, he will help guide Pac/West’s strategy in continuing to grow its footprint. He said this is only possible through the development of a diverse staff that understands its clients’ industry and challenges in depth.
“We have a team that works on issues they believe in and want to advance,” he said. “Our clients know the job they have to accomplish, and we need to be in the position to use our experience and skillset to think of things they haven’t thought of yet and help them get moving.”
